Chilli & Lime Prawn Stir Fry

Once again another meal that takes 40 minutes maximum to prepare and cook. Options are endless with what you serve this with, only ingredient to be wary of is the sweet chilli sauce, look for ones with a lower sugar content and stick to two table spoons 😉


  • Prawns (washed and prepared for cooking)
  • 2 x Limes
  • Ginger (thumb-sized)
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Courgettes
  • 8 Small Tomatoes Diced
  • Piri/Chilli seasoning
  • Sweet Chilli Sauce (2 tbl spoons)
  • Honey (1 tbl spoon) (Optional)
  • Soy Sauce (light, 2 tbl spoons)


Place your peeled prawns into a container, slice a lime in half and squeeze the juice into two  halves and squeeze onto the prawns, add 2 table spoons of soy sauce, 2 table spoons of sweet chilli sauce and add your diced ginger.

Stir and place a pan on high with a table spoon of oil (coconut oil preferably), add your prawns, allow the prawns to get hot and bubble then turn down to a medium heat, add your diced courgettes and stir, then add your diced tomatoes, add 1 table spoons of honey and sprinkle your piri/chilli seasoning all over  depending on how spicy you want it. Now add your sliced red onion and allow to simmer in the food. Once the red onions are soft, turn the heat off.

Serving suggestions:

You can have this by itself, with a salad, with rice, you could add noodles to the pan and add half a cup of water. You could serve with sweet potato mash (mixed with a table spoon of coconut milk)…the list goes on lol. Enjoy.
